Benefits for CIMA-Q members
CIMA-Q members benefit from a privileged exchange of expertise with the Consortium’s principal researchers. They also benefit from access to detailed inventory reports from the database generated by CIMA-Q and receive regular information on scientific and training activities organized by the Consortium. Additionally, members are invited to participate in CIMA-Q scientific events, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to knowledge transfer activities and collaborate with other experts in the field.
Categories of members
By joining CIMA-Q, members actively participate in scientific advances and benefit from unique resources to advance research into neurodegenerative diseases. CIMA-Q offers different membership categories. Membership is valid for 5 years, with the possibility of renewal.
Quebec researcher – regular member
A regular member of CIMA-Q must be an independent researcher, meeting the FRQS criteria, and actively involved in research on aging and/or neurodegenerative diseases.
Exclusive benefits for regular members:
- Privileged access to the CIMA-Q Bank.
- Access to the biological sample bank.
This membership allows members to fully contribute to scientific advances while accessing the unique resources of CIMA-Q.
Quebec researcher – associate member
Clinician or healthcare professional
This status is aimed at clinicians, research assistants, research associates, etc… involved in CIMA-Q activities not meeting the definition of independent researcher according to FRQS criteria, but having contributed to research projects on aging or neurodegenerative diseases for at least one year.
Independent researcher
This status is aimed at researchers who are not yet actively engaged in research on aging or neurodegenerative diseases and who express a marked interest in developing research projects in these areas. This membership structure allows CIMA-Q to bring together experts from diverse backgrounds, thus promoting innovation and collaboration in research.
Trainee student member
Students and interns can become members of CIMA-Q if they meet the following criteria:
- Be enrolled in a master’s, doctoral or postdoctoral internship program.
- Be a medical resident or health professional engaged in research training.
- Work on a subject related to aging or neurodegeneration.
- Be supervised(e) by a regular member of the Consortium.
By joining CIMA-Q, students and interns enter a dynamic environment that promotes learning, innovation and collaboration. They have the opportunity to actively participate in research initiatives, while developing their scientific skills alongside experts in the field.
